Getting to the Bronte
Yes, as we are right in the city centre, we have lots of public transport on our doorstep! Our closest train station is Liverpool Lime Street which is within walking distance and there are several bus stops within close walking distance.
The Bronte is a ten-minute walk from Lime Street Station.
Unfortunately at the moment, parking is not provided at The Bronte.
Activities at The Bronte
There is a small cost of 50p sub per session.
Our regular youth club activities do not require pre-booking, just come along to the session and choose what you would like to participate in. However, you will need to register for our residential trips and holiday playschemes. Staff will provide registration forms when we have these coming up.
Yes of course! We are an open-access centre, and anyone is free to join.

Every session will have an advertised end time, please arrive either at that time or five to ten minutes beforehand to pick up your children.
At the moment, food is not provided during our youth sessions; however, we do have a tuck shop available if you would like to purchase snacks. Free lunch is provided during our holiday playschemes.
Our juniors’ club is for children ages 5-10 and our seniors’ club is for children ages 11 to 18. SEND members can attend our club up until the age of 25.

The capacity of the main hall is 100 people.

You are welcome to host a wide range of events here in the Bronte from conferences to birthday parties, from workshops to weddings! Please discuss your planned event with us and we’ll do our best to make it happen.

football pitch hire
The pitch costs £60 per hour to hire.

safeguarding
All paid staff working with young people are to have at minimum, intermediate Safeguarding training provided by the National Youth Agency, which will be reviewed annually.
Volunteers, trustees, and other staff (e.g. admin staff) are to have basic Safeguarding training provided by the National Youth Agency which is to be reviewed annually.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy DSL will have more in-depth Safeguarding training that will help them perform their roles and responsibilities.
We have an Anti-Bullying Policy which is available to view upon request.
All visitors will have to sign in at the reception desk.

Parents are welcome to view our other policies on request. Just speak to a member of the youth staff and they will do their best to accommodate you.
We have appointed a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to take the lead in ensuring that appropriate arrangements for keeping children and young people safe are in place at Bronte Youth & Community Centre. Our DSL is Laura Cain, and our deputy DSL is Lesley Lee.
SEND and accessibility
Yes, members of our youth team are trained to work with people with SEND.
Yes, the building is accessible via a wheelchair, we have a lift on site too.
We do not currently offer 1-to-1 support for young people with SEND.
If your child has a specific need that isn’t listed, then please get in contact with us to discuss their needs and how we can help to accommodate them.

We are always looking for keen volunteers! Adult volunteers are required to be 18 years old and above, but we also offer a volunteer scheme for young people, please get in touch for further information.
We will advertise job openings right here on our website.
We welcome trustees across a wide range of backgrounds and skills. Previous trustee experience is not necessary as new trustees will be given support and training.
fundraise and donate
We are grateful for all donations as they contribute to a wide range of things to help the Bronte, from general running costs, upkeep of facilities, youth club activities, day trips, residentials, catering costs, equipment, sports supplies, art supplies, youth worker support, community activities, and more!
