Safeguarding at The Bronte
We want The Bronte to be a safe place for everyone to learn, make friends and have fun. Staff at The Bronte will do everything they can to make sure you are protected and happy.

All paid staff working with young people are to have at minimum, intermediate Safeguarding training provided by the National Youth Agency, which will be reviewed annually.
Volunteers, trustees and other staff (e.g. admin staff) are to have basic Safeguarding training provided by the National Youth Agency which is to be reviewed annually.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy DSL will have more in-depth Safeguarding training that will help them perform their roles and responsibilities.
We have an Anti-Bullying Policy which is available to view upon request.
All visitors will have to sign in at the reception desk.

Parents are welcome to view our other policies on request. Just speak to a member of the youth staff and they will do their best to accommodate you.
We have appointed a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to take the lead in ensuring that appropriate arrangements for keeping children and young people safe are in place at the Bronte Youth and Community Centre. Our DSL is Laura Cain, and our deputy DSL is Lesley Lee.
